Topic

Third-Party Risk Management has never been more vital to securing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. With recent major cyber-attacks, such as those conducted against large enterprises and critical suppliers, industries across the board are feeling the severity and impact.

The formal recognition of this by the European Commission has resulted in the pending implementation of the Digital Operations Resilience Act (DORA), placing regulatory obligations on European financial institutions to manage their cyber risk and that of their critical vendors and suppliers. Mastercard recognizes the cyber threats that enterprise systems are suffering and have invested to support security teams in strengthening their infrastructure by proactively identifying third-party vulnerabilities, prioritizing critical issues, and creating a detailed, quantifiable action plan to mitigate cyber threats.
