VP, Alliances (Remote - US)

Description

The VP, Alliances identifies, pursues, negotiates, constructs business models, and manages relationships with any potential partners except traditional security VARs and resellers.

They must be comfortable working at all levels across all departments necessary to achieve the goals of each alliance. Ideal candidates will also demonstrate a strong understanding of enterprise security and IT risk management challenges, use cases, and complementary partner ecosystem.

The VP, Alliances is responsible for identifying and activating partners to enable RiskRecon’s entry into new market segments, fashion unique product offers, and accelerate growth and customer acquisition within existing market segments. All partner-based routes to market are in scope, including systems integrators, MSSPs, technology providers, ratings agencies, and cyber insurers.

You will work cross-functionally and collaborate with the RiskRecon executive team, product marketing, sales, marketing, and services teams to align strategy and support partner success. You will also seek ways to leverage relationships already in place with our parent company, Mastercard. This position will begin as an individual contributor role that requires strategic thinking and planning, rigorous measurement, and efficient execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a formal assessment of all potential alliance targets and prioritize recruitment based on ongoing alignment with RiskRecon’s product and business strategy·

• Conclude recruiting of priority partners, collaborate with them to define business model, and oversee implementation of the successful go-to-market strategy for each alliance one

• Partner with internal stakeholders and alliance partner staff to achieve consensus on and implement structured and ad-hoc product integration as necessary to achieve business goals

• Engage existing alliance partners, expand contacts within those organizations, and ensure we achieve our mutually agreed business objectives

• Build co-marketing and lead generation programs between RiskRecon and alliance partner marketing teams; facilitate the creation of any needed collateral and other customer-facing content

• Where appropriate, ensure appropriate training and engagement takes place between alliance partners and the RiskRecon sales, pre-sales, and services organizations

• Regularly communicate progress toward goals via dashboards and management reports

• Establish appropriate financial reporting and contract compliance procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated success and experience in relevant business development and revenue-focused alliance roles

• Familiarity with cybersecurity and IT risk ecosystem of technology products and services firms

• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills

• Experience in recruiting new partners, constructing creative business models, and accelerating returns from existing alliance partners

• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

• Analytical thinker with a demonstrated command of metrics-driven partner models

• Product management experience is a plus
